Hello everyone who is reading this!
I guess you clicked here because you want to know a bit more about me, so here are a few facts:
- My name is Barbora but I have many nicknames, one of them is Baya.
- I am from small country in Europe called Slovakia.
- I was born in January of 1999.
- I love sports! Windsurfing, snowboarading, volleyball, hiking, biking, running, yoga, pretty much anything.
- I started modeling when I was 14 and travelled the world since then.
- As you probably noticed, I love cooking, being creative in the kitchen and taking pictures of my food.
- In the future I would like to open a vegan restaurant and spread to the world that plant based food is so incredibly delicious!

Besides being a passionate vegan I am also a model, cyclist, nature lover, book enthusiast and much more.
Going vegan has changed my life in so many good ways. I used to have digestion problems my whole life, it got even worse when I first went to Tokyo to work as a model, I was sick all the time and miserable because I didn’t know what to eat. Until a friend told me about plant-based eating, and how it helped her with similar issues. I gave it a try, started researching about it more and after couple of months I realised I haven’t felt sick in a long time, my migraines and eye-pain were gone as well. Eating plantbased gave me more energy to do sports and to excersize better.
Gradually I educated myself in ethical and environmental reasons too, I was amazed to find out all the things that these animal agriculture corporations are doing to our planet, not even mentioning the horrible things being done to the animals. So for me being vegan is for sure a way to be and I don’t ever want to go back to eating animals again.
bananas are my favorite fuel for long bike rides!
My energy during the day increased so much that I actually want to exercise! That’s when biking comes in. I love the freedom it gives you, when you are outside on the roads, riding through the fields and hills, just me, my bike and the endless roads.

That’s what I miss a lot when I am travelling for modeling. But with travelling comes a great opportunity to meet different cultures, be outside the comfort zone and the most fun part-try new vegan restaurants haha!
Many people say it’s hard to be vegan, I say it’s just about creating a habit out of it. Trust me, if I can do it, you can do it too. Everyday it’s getting easier and easier too, with all the vegan options increasing in either supermarkets, restaurants, or caffes.
I hope my blog will motivate you to try vegan cuisine, get you in the kitchen, experimenting, and cooking.

After the exercise, I like to relax and read a good book. When I'm in Slovakia, I often borrow books from Túlavé knižky. Since I travel a lot, I can't move with all of the books I love.
